Sasori's Father in Naruto

Very little is known about his childhood as Sasori's father’s past is still shrouded in mystery. Sasori's father had a very brief visual appearance in the anime. So much so that even his name is not common public knowledge. Based on the information at hand, he was a well-renowned shinobi of Sunagakure.

In Naruto Shippuden episode 17, during Kazekage Rescue Mission Arc, Sasori's father made his on-screen debut. In this arc, it was revealed that at some point, when Sasori was still a child, Sasori’s father and mother left the village and were eventually killed by the White Fang of the Hidden Leaf, Sakumo Hatake, during a war.

This forced Sasori to live with his grandmother, Lady Chiyo. After he mastered the art of puppetry, Sasori created Mother and Father Puppets in hopes to feel the love of his deceased parents. However, they were still just puppets and could not fill the void in Sasori’s heart. Later, Sasori abandoned his Mother and Father Puppets when he defected Sunagakure and became a rouge ninja, eventually joining the Akatsuki.

After Sasori became a rouge ninja, Lady Chiyo kept the Mother and Father Puppets and eventually gave them to their current wielder, Kankuro.

Sasori's father had very shaggy red hair, and purple eyes, and he wore long, loose clothing with what the Sunagakure villagers called a poncho-like top. He was dressed in the traditional Hidden Sand shinobi attire, which included a flak jacket, a forehead shield, and a white ghutrah.

Sasori’s father had a limited appearance in the series and never showcased any of his abilities. However, based on his status, it can be said that he was a highly skilled and formidable shinobi. Although it is not stated, it is also believed that he excelled in puppetry jutsu, like his mother and his son.
