Shimeji in Naruto

Very little is known about Shimeji’s past. Due to his limited appearances in the series, little is known about his lineage or background other than the fact that he is an exceptional gardener, capable of growing a garden in a wasteland. Based on the information at hand, he works in several towns surrounding Tanzaku Quarters.

Shimeji first appeared in the Search for Tsunade Arc and in this arc, Sasuke Uchiha rushes to the hotel where Jiraiya and Naruto Uzumaki were staying at the time to rescue, concerned about Naruto’s safety. Sasuke bursts into Shimeji and his apprentice, Buna’s hotel room thinking the room belonged to Naruto and Jiraiya.

Shimeji has not appeared since this incident; thus, his absence makes it impossible to say whether he is dead or alive. He is currently assumed to be alive and well unless any information indicates otherwise.

Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, Shimeji never had the opportunity to express his individuality.

Shimeji is an old man with spiky white hair and a long white beard. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved, kimono-type loose beige shirt, paired with purple pants.
