Sound Daimyo is a Naruto series' filler character who first appeared, albeit briefly, in Naruto Episode 136 "Deep Cover? A Super S-Ranked Mission!" He first appeared in the television series as the daimyo of the Land of Sound, also known as the Land of Rice Fields where the secret base of Otogakure (Hidden Sound Village) was situated. It also served as one of Orochimaru’s hideouts.

Very little is known about his childhood as Sound Daimyo’s past is still shrouded in mystery. Sound Daimyo had a very brief visual appearance in the anime. Additionally, he is just a part of the Naruto anime and does not appear or receive any mentions in the Naruto series manga, making him a non-canon character in the series.
Due to his sparse appearance in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background, even his name is not common public knowledge. Based on the information at hand, he serves as the Feudal Lord of the Land of Sounds
In Naruto episode 136, a filler episode of the Naruto series, Sound Daimyo made his on-screen debut. In the series, he was introduced as a greedy ruler. In order to gain enormous wealth and boost his status in the Naruto world, he changed the policies of his country. These changes negatively affected the citizens of his country but were beneficial to Orochimaru, a Sannin of Konohagakure (Village Hidden in the Leaves) and a rouge ninja.
These changes enabled Orochimaru to establish a hidden village in the Land of Sound, which later became known as Orogakure, popularly known as the Hidden Sound Village. Before this development, the Land of Rice Fields used to be a peaceful country but this event changed the country for the worse.
Since Sound Daimyo has not been seen or mentioned since this incident, it is hard to determine whether he is dead or alive. Unless new information comes to light that suggests otherwise, it is currently believed that he is alive and well.
There isn't much information available regarding Sound Daimyo's personality due to his lack of appearance and relevant information in the series. Based on his limited appearance, it can be said that he is a greedy man and does not mind stooping as low as to sacrifice the welfare of the citizens of his country in order to gain wealth and status.
The Sound Daimyo is an average-built man of large stature. He has dark eyes and hair with a goatee for a beard with a mustache. In his limited appearance, he wore a white shirt under a dark kimono with grey trimmings.
The Sound Daimyo is of royal descent, hence it's quite likely that he never underwent any formal combat training. On the basis of this, it is assumed that he lacks any battle skills.
