Takajo Torikai’s Background

Very little is known about Takajo as his past is shrouded in mystery. However, it is stated that Takajo is a tokubetsu jonin of Konohagakure, and works at the Konoha Aviary.

Interestingly, Takajo is a manga-exclusive character with no appearances in the Naruto anime.

Takajo first appeared in the Five Kage Summit Arc. In the manga chapter, Takajo and his teammates gather and disperse communications to and from the village following Pain's assault on Konoha. Takajo is shocked to learn that Danzo Shimura has been chosen as the new Hokage as Tsunade Senju, the Fifth Hokage was incapacitated after Pain's assault.

This is the only incident where Takajo made an appearance and he hasn’t reappeared since. Due to the lack of information, it is hard to determine whether Takajo is still alive or not.
