Team 8 in Naruto

Team 8 was the Genin team led by Kurenai Yuhi. This team consisted of Kiba Inuzuka and Akamaru, Shino Aburame and Hinata Hyuga. This team mostly specialized in tracking and locating which was with the help of Hinata's Byakugan, Kiba's keen sense of smell, etc.

In Shippuden when Kurenai got pregnant with Asuma's child and took a break, Kakashi took over the team and took over their missions for a while.

The team also were involved in the plan with the others to personally kill Sasuke with the other teams. This decision was made so that they could stop Sasuke from going down and stop the risk of international war being caused.

They all were later on persuaded by Naruto that he'll be able to get through Sasuke, and he handle this case. Ultimately, he was able to get through Sasuke and persuade him to turn over a new leaf.

Capturing Gosunkugi:

Team 8 was sent by Tsunade along with Naruto to catch a thief named Gosunkugi. Their mission was considered a failure as they couldn't catch him as a bounty hunter got to him before they could, despite aiding the capture.

Hidden treasure retrieval:

After failing multiple missions, Tsunade gives team 8 the last chance to prove themselves so as not to repeat the academy by giving them a mission to retrieve the hidden treasure. They encountered three genin(imposters) who tried to infiltrate Konoha and destroy them. They were able to defeat the imposters and complete the mission. Later on, it was seen that Tsunade had set up the whole thing to see how they would handle the whole situation.

Capture the bandits:

Team Kurenai was sent on a mission to capture a missing ninja belonging to Takigakure. At first, they were unsuccessful in capturing the person but eventually managed to capture and apprehend him.

Locating Orochimaru's hideout:

For this mission Team, Kurenai teamed up with Kakashi to locate Orochimaru's hideout. They managed to locate one but it was already deserted and abandoned.

Finding Itachi and Naruto:

The eight-man squad made by Kakashi also included Team Kurenai. As they were stalled by Tobi, they failed to bring Sasuke back before he and Itachi's bodies were taken away.

1. Akamaru was an official member of team 8.
2. Akamaru and Kiba share the same birthday which is the 7th of July.
3. Kurenai has completed more missions than her whole team combined.
4. Shino likes to name all his insects and can differentiate between them well.
5. Kishimoto hadn't planned on making Hinata a ninja, instead, she was going to be portrayed as a fashionable young girl.

Q. Is Kurenai an Uchiha?

A. Due to the color of Kurenai’s eyes which resemble the Sharingan she is often mistaken as a part of the Uchiha clan. She belongs to the Yuhi clan, which which specializes in trapping people in ninjutsu.

Q. Why does Shino cover his eyes?

A. Shino covers his eyes to look I guess. There is also a theory saying that the Aburame clan people cover their eyes so that people don’t recognize them that easily.

Q. Does Kiba like Hinata?

A. No, Kiba does not like Hinata, they have a very good and comfortable friendship and help each other whenever needed.
