The Village Hidden in the Leaves had a genin squad named Team Jiraiya. It was made up of Minato Namikaze and two other unnamed Hidden Leaf genin led by Jiraiya, one of the legendary Sannin. Team Jiraiya took part in the Chunin Exams at the same time as Team Orochimaru.

Minato Namikaze is the only known member of Team Jiraiya and that was because Jiraiya showed keen interest in him. He believed that Minato could be the Child of Prophecy he has been looking for. Later, Minato was named the Fourth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf.

Jiraiya

Jiraiya was one of the three legendary Sannin of the Hidden Leaf, a title he received from Hanzo of the Salamander. He was a renowned shinobi of the Hidden Leaf and was also adept in Toad Sage Jutsu. Due to his mastery of ToadSenjustu and his affiliation with the toads of Mount Myoboku, he was also known as the Hermit of Mount Myoboku. Jiraiya spent his lifetime on the road in search of knowledge that would help his friends. The knowledge he gathered about the world in its entirety was eventually passed on to his last pupil and godson, Naruto Uzumaki.

Jiraiya lost his life in his battle against Six Paths of Pain, who was later revealed to be Nagato Uzumaki, one of his pupils from the Hidden Rain Village.

Minato Namikaze

Minato Namikaze, also renowned as the Yellow Flash of the Leaf, was a shinobi from the Hidden Leaf Village. He was considered a prodigy and graduated from the academy when he was 10 years old and could go toe to toe against many Jonin-level shinobi simultaneously by the time he turned 18. After the Third Great Ninja War had ended, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage of the Hidden Leaf, shouldered all of the blame and stepped down from his position as Hokage. After he stepped down, Minato was named the Fourth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf at a very young age.

During the Nine-Tails’s attack on the Hidden Leaf, he forced the masked man who was behind the attack to retreat. Later, the masked man was revealed to be Obito Uchiha. To protect the village from Nine-Tails’s wrath, he sealed the Yin half his chakra in him and the other half in his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki. Minato lost his life as a result of using the Reaper Death Seal to seal the Nine-Tails chakra within him.
