Tobimaru is the son of Takamaru, who was also a Sunagakure messenger hawk. Tobimaru first appeared in Naruto Shippuden episode: 218, “The Five Great Nations Mobilize.” After the Five Kage Summit that happened in the Land of Iron, the Fifth Kazekage (Gaara) sent Tobimaru with information about the Allied Shinobi Force and Madara Uchiha declaring war.
Tobimaru looks just like a normal hawk. He has brown skin except on his chest area and a white diamond-like mark on his forehead. His name is written in kanji on the front of a gray backpack that he is wearing.
Tobimaru is a very intelligent and fast hawk who knows how to deliver messages quickly and also doesn't get spotted by any enemy group. It is stated that he is faster than his father, Takamaru.
