Tsubute Futaba is a character in the Naruto series that appeared in an OVA (Original Video Animation) of the Naruto series with the title, Chunin Exam on Fire! Naruto vs. Konohamaru. He is stated to be a genin-level shinobi in the OVA belonging to Iwagakure, also known as the Village Hidden in the Stones.

Very little is known about his childhood and past other than the fact that he is a shinobi from Iwagakure and participated in the Chunin Exams in the OVA. He proved himself to be a capable shinobi and managed to get qualified for the final round of the chunin exams. Unfortunately, the details about his match, like who he fought or who won that match, are unknown to this day.
This is the only instance Tsubute ever appeared in the anime. Based on this minimal appearance, Tsubute is believed to be alive until any additional piece of information comes to light suggesting otherwise. Additionally, Tsubute is just a part of the Naruto anime and does not appear or receive any mentions in the Naruto manga, making him a non-canon character in the series.
