Choji Akimichi is a member of the Akimichi clan who got married to Karui Akimichi, a kunoichi from the Hidden Clouds Village after the Fourth Great Ninja War had ended.

Karui was a member of Team Samui of the Hidden Cloud Village. After the Fourth Great Ninja War she fell in love with Choji Akimichi during their times together, later marrying him and emigrating to the Hidden Leaf Village to become a member of the Akimichi Clan.

Karui was a part of the hailed Team Samui from the Hidden Cloud Village alongside his teammate Omoi under the leadership of Samui. In their first appearance, Team Samui was summoned by the Fourth Raikage, and Karui and Omoi were seen to be arguing about what the reason for them getting summoned by the Fourth Raikage could be. Not much information regarding her past in the Hidden Cloud Village is provided before her first appearance in the series.
Karui, like her other teammates, has great respect for Killer B. She is also represented as having a negative comedic relationship with Omoi. After The Five Kage Summit Arc and Sasuke’s attack on the Kages, Karui burst out her anger on Team Kakashi for allowing a rogue ninja like Sasuke Uchiha to roam free. She also beats up Naruto Uzumaki after he asked her to let her anger out on him instead of Sasuke, for which she felt remorse and carried her share of the guilt as stated by Omoi. This goes to show that she is impulsive, combative, and lets her emotions out impulsively, but is also able to admit when she is in the wrong.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Karui was a part of the Allied Shinobi Forces and served as a member of the esteemed Second Division. She proved herself to be a strong kunoichi and played a crucial role in the war.
In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Karui is living her days with her husband, Choji Akamichi, and their daughter, Chocho Akimichi. When it comes to her daughter Chocho, she is a laid-back mom and does not force her daughter to train or learn new techniques. She believed that all that was not necessary in this era of peace and preferred to enjoy her life peacefully with her family.
In Naruto Shippuden, Karui is shown to be a chunin well versed in Kenjutsu and was trained by Killer B. In combat, she has shown great combat abilities. She relies primarily on Kenjutsu and wields a Katana in battle. In the manga, Karui showcases her jutsu Cloud Style: FrontSlash, capable of slicing several White Zetsu in a single attack. In the anime, she has also shown her Lightning Release techniques. In her team battles, we were also able to witness great teamwork without any signs of communication with her teammate Omoi.
A. Karui is a kunoichi belonging to the Hidden Cloud Village and a member of Team Samui. She is well trained by Killer B in Kenjutsu and possesses great combative skills. She later married Choji Akamichi of the Hidden Leaf and emigrated there, becoming a member of the Akamichi Clan.
A. After the end of the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Karui and Choji became close and eventually fell in love. Karui stated to her daughter that she sees good qualities in Choji and tries her best to impress him even though they have been married for a long time now.
