When introduced to the series, Koji was perceived to be a loyal member of Kara to such an extent that he incinerated a colleague Vicato without a doubt at an order from his leader. Later in the series, it was revealed that his loyalty towards Kara was just an illusion he created in order to gain time and prepare to take down Isshiki Otsutsuki, who was residing in and controlling Jigen’s body. This showed that Koji Kashin is a patient, perceptive and rational man.
In his battle against Jigen, Koji Kashin proved himself in battle with unparalleled battle IQ as he was able to force Isshiki to emerge by destroying Jigen’s body to such an extent, that Ishiki had no other choice other than to show himself. In the end, Koji found himself crushed under the rubble of pillars, unable to move freely and extremely wounded at the hands of Ishiki. Fortunately, Koji was able to escape by summoning a toad, taking refuge in the toad’s mouth, and escaping from the battlefield.
