Osoi was the father of Musai and was a genin rank shinobi from Kumogakure (the Village Hidden in the Clouds). He was one of the reincarnated shinobi which Kabuto summoned to retrieve the sealed reincarnated shinobi. He is one of the supporting characters in the Naruto anime series and manga that was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Osoi was one of the genin who was on the Toroi team and just like Toroi, he also died. When Kabuto Yakushi and Orochimaru tried to reincarnate Toroi, they mistakenly reincarnated Osoi and learned he was not who they thought he was but was only a part of his team.
In the Fourth Shinobi world war, Kabuto used Torune Aburame to reincarnate allied forces. Osoi was one of them who was given the order to retrieve the sealed reincarnated shinobi that the Allied Shinobi Force sealed in the battle.
When his son attacked the reincarnated shinobi, he met Osoi, his dad. Musai's teammate asked if his dad was strong in reply, he said he did not even pass the Chunin exam.
Osoi told Musai to tell the Fourth Raikage about his contribution and how he died during the mission. He even told his son that their order is to retrieve the reincarnated sealed shinobi. Soon he was sealed by the Allied Shinobi Force.
Osoi seemed to be proud of himself and wanted other to know his contribution. He also seems loyal to his village.
Osoi wears a Kumogakure shinobi outfit with a red scarf around his neck and one shoulder falk jacket and a blue jumpsuit.
Osoi did not show any ability but as a genin, he may know basic shinobi techniques and he seems to be good with Kunai.
