Lago Zancudo is a wetland area in GTA V. It is located in the western part of Blaine County to the South of Mount Josiah and the Fort Zancudo Military Base. Lago Zancudo translates to Mosquito Lake which is also mentioned in the description of the location in the GTA V user manual.

Lago Zancudo used to be a jetty used by locals for trading since 1941 before it turned into a swampy wetland. The Zancudo river runs through Lago Zancudo which empties into the Pacific Ocean. It is home to wildlife such as birds and deer but not many animals can be found here due to the mosquito-infested swamps.
Letter Scrap - A letter scrap can be found here by the river, close to the military base.
The water in this area has a unique brownish color, in contrast with the clear color of other bodies of water around the state.
The postcard for Raton Canyon shown in the digital manual for Grand Theft Auto V erroneously shows a photograph of Lago Zancudo.
Lago means "lake" in Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish.
Zancudo is Spanish for a malarial mosquito.
