Something Sensible is an optional final mission in GTA V. This mission is triggered if Franklin chooses to kill Trevor by selecting option A.
If Option A is chosen, Franklin chooses to kill Trevor and invites him to meet him at the oil field off El Burro Heights. On the way there, Franklin calls Michael and informs him of the situation, asking for his help.
Once at the meeting point, Franklin turns a gun towards Trevor and declares him as the crazy one, causing Trevor to try to escape in his truck with Franklin in pursuit. Michael eventually joins in and rams into Trevor's truck, causing it to crash into a gas tanker and cover Trevor in gas.
With nowhere to go, Trevor resigns himself to his fate as Franklin shoots the gas, setting him ablaze and burning him to death.
After Trevor's demise, Michael and Franklin reflect on how Trevor's violent behavior led to his demise and part ways. The credits roll with a view of the city. The mission portrays the consequences of betrayal and how violent behavior can lead to tragic outcomes.

This is the final mission of the game. After this mission the protagonists will not be able to hang out with Trevor as he is dead. However, this is not the canonical ending of the game.
Since Trevor is mentioned to be alive by Ron Jakowski in GTA Online's Smuggler's Run DLC (which takes place in 2017, 4 years after the events of GTA V), it is confirmed that this ending is not canonical.
Even if the player shoots Trevor in the head while covered in gasoline, he still screams while on fire, due to the script of the mission.
This ending was foreshadowed in Casing the Jewel Store when Michael asked Lester if Trevor ended up as a burnt body on the side of the road.
Trevor can foreshadow his death in a character switch scene, where he wakes up drunk saying "You just gonna stand there while I burn to a crisp?"
