Aosa in Naruto

The details of Aosa's past are rather mysterious. Very little is known about his upbringing or his skills. In the anime, he only made a few brief appearances. He is just a part of the Boruto anime and does not appear or receive any mentions in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga, making him a non-canon character in the series.

He made his anime debut in the Chunin Re-Examination Arc of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations in episode 229, "Breach of Orders." In the Arc, the residents of the Land of Calm Seas were dealing with an epidemic. The daimyo of the Land of Calm Seas took this opportunity to make a fortune for himself. The daimyo was only allowing the required medical care and treatment to the highest, leaving the less fortunate to suffer as they were unable to afford medical attention.

Aosa was unable to watch from the sidelines as his fellow countrymen suffered. He developed a much cheaper and more effective treatment to enable the less fortunate population with the epidemic. The daimyo discovered Aosa and his treatment and considered him and his students as a threat to his operation. He dispatched the elite assassins Jujumaru and Kurobane (shinobi of the Land of Calm Seas) to kill Aosa and his pupils while also securing their alternate treatment for the epidemic which forced Aosa to go off-grid. Aosa offered his student enough cash to travel to his close friends abroad before being forced to go into hiding.

In the Arc, Aosa waited for his students at a checkpoint but Kawaki unexpectedly appeared and informed him of Mozuku's sacrifice. Aosa took the medication Mozuku developed and the leftover money he received from him with pride. He then made a promise to heal his country in Mozuku's honor after learning of his passing. Kawaki also gave him the location of Mozuku's corpse so he could go get the boy's body and give it a proper burial.

Aosa's appearance was quite limited, hence not much is known about him or his character. In his brief appearance, he appeared to be a kind man who deeply cares about the well-being of his village and fellow countrymen. To save his village which was suffering from an epidemic and the callous nature of their daimyo, he risked his life to save them and came up with a much cheaper and more effective treatment affordable to everyone. He is also known to deeply care about his students and received respect, loyalty, and adoration from his students.

Aosa is an above-average-height, fair-skinned man from the Land of Calm Seas. His short, brown hair is styled to the side, and he has piercing blue eyes. He wears circular, frameless glasses, indicating he might have weak eyesight. He wears blue robes over a light-blue colored shirt with blue pants, paired with standard sandals.

It is difficult to tell from Aosa's little appearance the full extent of his battle capabilities. Based on the information available, Aosa was a true intellectual and a master of his craft, which made him a renowned researcher in his field. As a medical ninja, he was capable enough to develop a cure for an epidemic. He is also believed to be a great teacher. He taught his students medical ninjutsu and prepared them to carry on his work in his absence.
