Very little is known about his upbringing as Calm Seas Daimyo’s past is still shrouded in mystery, even his name is not common public knowledge. Based on the information at hand, he serves as the Feudal Lord of the Land of Calm Seas. So far, Calm Seas Daimyo is only mentioned in the series and does not have any visual appearance in the anime. Additionally, he is just a part of the Naruto anime and does not appear or receive any mentions in the Boruto manga, making him a non-canon character in the series.
In episode 229, a filler episode of the Boruto anime, Calm Seas Daimyo was mentioned for the first time ever. In the series, he was introduced as a greedy ruler. In order to gain enormous wealth and boost his status in the Boruto world, he restricted medical care to the highest payers in his nation when the country was dealing with an epidemic. Due to this restriction, the common citizens of the country suffered as they were unable to afford the much-needed medical care.
Later, Aosa, a medical ninja of the Land of Calm Seas, couldn’t bare seeing his fellow citizens suffering and dedicated his life to developing a much cheaper and more effective treatment, When the daimyo got the wind of it, he sent his elite assassins, Kurobane and Jujumaru to retrieve Aosa’s treatment variants and eliminate Aosa and his disciples.
Since Calm Seas Daimyo has not been seen or mentioned since this incident, it is hard to determine whether he is dead or alive. Unless new information comes to light that suggests otherwise, it is currently believed that he is alive and well.
