The Captain of the Ghost Ship was one of the members of the ship who died when a Giant Corpse Crab attacked their ship. When the Giant Corpse Crab attacked the ship, he gave the broom he had from a young age to his young crew member Hishaku and told him to hide in a barrel. He also said his comrades would protect him from the Giant Corpse Crab.
He is one of the supporting characters in the Naruto anime series and manga that was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

When Naruto Uzumaki, alongside Aoba Yamashiro, Yamato, and Might Guy, were going toward Turtle Island on a ship, they were caught in dense fog, and saw the Ghost Ship. Yamato and Aoba decided to examine the ship. Naruto was against it, but still went to check the ship. Naruto saw Hishaku's spirit doing the cleaning. Naruto was able to see him because Hishaku's soul was not free. The captain of the Ghost Ship taught Hishaku some broom tricks which Naruto praised when he saw them.
Naruto asked him where the others in the crew were, when Hishaku told him about the scenario and about the Captain of the Ghost Ship. Later, when Naruto defeated the Giant Corpse Crab, Hishaku’s soul was set free, and he went back to his crew. The Ghost Ship then disappeared.
The Captain of the Ghost ship was brave and kind, as he told his young crew member Hishaku to escape from the ship and hide in a barrel, because he was young and had to survive.
The Captain of the Ghost Ship wore a green captain’s jacket and had brown hair. He wears a white captain’s hat and a white T-shirt under the jacket.
