Futa Kagetsu in Naruto

Futa Kagetsu used to live with his siblings and father when they were poor but when they became rich, every family member got separated, because they wanted to earn more money and didn’t want to split it between the family.

Futa's elder sister Tsukiko Kagetsu married a rich man from the next village and left with him. Mai and Futa lived together but all the other members got separated. Tobei faked his death to bring the whole family together. Tobei wrote a will in which it was mentioned that all his property would go to Futa, his eldest son, but there was a condition - that he would attend his funeral as chief mourner and if he laughed even a bit in the funeral, all the property and estates will be divided between the whole Kagetsu family, but he can put someone else in his position as the chief mourner.

Futa sent a request to the Hidden Leaf village to send a shinobi who does not laugh at all and for that, Tsunade chose Shino Aburame, because he does not laugh in any situation. She also sent Naruto Uzumaki alongside him because there was no one free in the village to go with Shino.

When Shino and Naruto reached the Futa house, they read the will of Tobei and introduced them to his sister Mai Kagetsu who invited them for lunch. When Futa was about to eat the food, Shino stopped him and told him to let him check it first and when he ate the food, Shino started laughing because the food contained some laughing drug. Then Shino told Naruto to take the chief mourner role, so Naruto took the role because they didn't have any other option.

At the funeral, all Kagetsu family members come and try to make Naruto laugh but fail to do so. At the end when Tsukiko's husband tries to make him laugh, Tobei appears and shocks everyone. Tobei told everyone how he wanted to bring the family together and how beautiful it was when they didn’t have money but had big smiles and laughter. This made everyone in the Kagetsu family realize that money is not more important than family, love, and laughter.

Futa Kagetsu is greedy because to keep all his father's estates, he requested Konoha Village to send a shinobi to help so he would not need to split the estate with other family members. He also does not have confidence in himself and is a cowardly person.

Futa wears gray specs and has the same color hair. He wore a gray Kimono coat and had a dot on his forehead, just like his siblings had.
