Gaku Inuzuka’s Background

The details of Gaku's past are rather mysterious as very little is known about his upbringing or his skills. In the anime, he only made a few brief appearances.

Gaku made his first appearance in the series in episode 282 of the Naruto Shippuden anime in the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation Arc. In the arc, it was revealed that Gaku, his ninja dog, Minato Namikaze (Yellow Flash of the Hidden Leaf), Doto Akimichi, and a fourth unnamed Konoha shinobi made up a platoon that played a huge role during the conflict between Konohagakure and Kumogakure (Village Hidden in the Clouds).

His platoon fought the A-B Combo in one of the battles. During the battle, Gaku was surprised to witness Killer B’s Jinchuriki Transformation capabilities. The Konoha shinobi, however, received a signal to flee while Minato was engaged in combat with their adversaries. Gaku then informed Minato that they are retreating for the time being.

Gaku has not appeared since this incident; thus, his absence makes it impossible to say whether he is dead or alive. He is currently assumed to be alive and well unless any information comes to light indicating otherwise.

Gaku Inuzuka’s Personality

Gaku had a limited appearance in the series and didn’t have the opportunity to express his individuality. However, it is stated that being the eldest in his team, Gaku thought of and treated Minato as a younger brother.

Gaku is a middle-aged man who has dark eyes, dark hair that is combed back, and a dark beard. He bears the recognizable Inuzuka's fang marks on his cheeks and is wearing the traditional Konohagakure flak jacket and headband.

Due to his limited appearance in the series, details about the true extent of Gaku’s abilities are still a mystery. Nonetheless, Gaku is a capable shinobi of the Inuzuka clan and is skillful in his clan’s secret techniques with his ninja dog.
