Genbu was a minister from the Land of That. He is one of the supporting characters in the Naruto anime series and manga that was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Genbu appeared in Naruto Shippuden episode: 460, when Kaguya Otsutsuki came to earth for the first time. It was before any Hidden Village was founded and even before anyone knew about Ninjutsu. He came to the Land of Ancestors to talk to Tenji, who is the leader of the Land of Ancestors.
He told Tenji that the lake around the Land of Ancestors was under his territory (Land of That) and that if they don’t give it back, he set his army upon them.
Genbu was also interested in meeting Kaguya as soon as Suzaku mentioned her. Soon Land of That soldiers started to provoke Land of Ancestors and brought a large army to threaten them. It startled the Land of Ancestors as they saw that Genbu meant his threat although Tenji later managed to reach an agreement with Genbu.
It was then that Suzaku revealed with a maiden from the Land of Ancestors to confirm that Kaguya killed some army mens of Land of That. Tenji then ordered his soldiers to kill Kaguya who later trapped everyone in under the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Genbu was cruel and greedy as he just wanted to acquire the land with force. He was a liar and also a womanizer.
Genbu had a broad facial structure and black hair with three bangs on his forehead. He wore a black Kimono shirt with sandals. He wore a guard and a cap when he went to attack the land of Ancestors.
