Hibari’s Background

There is much uncertainty about Hibari's past as we still don't know anything about her clan, her history, or her involvement in the series. In the manga or its anime adaptation, she only made a few brief appearances. She first debuted in Live or Die: Risk it All to Win it All!, episode 56 of the original Naruto series.

Hibari made her debut during the Chunin Exams Arc in the series. In the arc, she is introduced as a classmate of Konohamaru Sarutobi, grandchild of the Third Hokage, and a student in the ninja academy. In her sparse appearance, she asked Iruka sensei who is the Fifth Hokage and then Iruka told her that as of now, there is no Fifth Hokage.

Hibari hasn't shown up since these appearances and her absence makes it impossible to ascertain whether she's dead or alive. Hibari is currently assumed to be alive and well unless any information surfaces indicating otherwise.

Hibari never had the chance to interact much in the series and did not have any significant role in the series. She never had an opportunity to showcase her personality.
