Very little is known about his childhood and past other than the fact that he was shinobi from Kusagakure and was present during the final round of the Chunin exams held in Konohagakure (Village Hidden in the Leaves).
Midori and his partner, Midori, observed the final round of the chunin exams, When it was time for the match between Gaara and Sasuke Uchiha, Midori, along with his partner approached Gaara to convince him to throw the match. In the anime, they were instructed to do so by the daimyo who hired them.
Many daimyos and higher-ups place bets on matches and Gaara throwing the match would result in a huge profit from the bets placed on Sasuke. Gaara feels insulted by their proposition and kills them both with his sand, soaking his sand in their blood. Fortunately for Naruto Uzumaki and Shikamaru Nara, this incident satisfied Gaara’s blood lust by the time they ran into him.
Almost nothing is known about Midori's personality or true nature due to his limited appearance in the series and any relevant information. However, it is stated that Midori had confidence in his skills and wasn't above using shady methods to aid his sponsor in winning a bet. Additionally, he also showed his cowardly nature after he witnessed his partner's death and fruitlessly begged and ran for life.
Midori was a young man who had dark eyes and long gray hair that he kept in a ponytail and his sideburns formed into his beard. He was sporting a black, tie-back Kusagakure forehead protection in the shape of a bandanna.
He wore a white full sleeves jacket with a white shirt underneath and a light purple scarf with red lines around his neck, paired with standard shinobi sandals.
Although Midori was a chunin-level ninja from the Hidden Grass Village, close to no information is available about the skills and abilities he possesses. He never had the opportunity to showcase his abilities on-screen.
