Miroku in Naruto

In the movie, it was stated that Miroku was the mother of Shion who later succeeded her as the priestess of the Land of Demons. Additionally, she does not have any appearance or any mention in the Naruto manga, making her a non-canon character.

In the movie, it is stated that Miroku loved and adored her daughter Shion and wanted her to live a normal, happy life. She kept Shion’s true powers a secret and even ordered guards not to teach Shion any ninjutsu or any combat skills. However, she also wanted to ensure her daughter’s safety so she gave Shion a special bell that could contain her power and protect her if any harm comes her way. However, in the beginning, Shion was unaware that whenever her life is saved, usually another person is sacrificed in her place.

At some point, Miroku and Moryo, a dark demon from another world and the main antagonist of the movie came into conflict. Moryo tried to absorb Shion but to save her daughter's life, Miroku sacrificed herself and sealed away Moryo to protect Shion.

Miroku was kind and a pacifist by nature. She loved and cared deeply for her daughter and would stop at nothing to ensure her safety. As she was a pacifist, she wished for a life of happiness for her daughter, a normal life, and never taught her any ninjutsu to protect her from any violence or corruption.

Miroku was a middle-aged woman. She had pale skin, long light-greyish hair, and light-colored eyes. As a priestess, she wore white robes with golden trimmings. She also wore golden headgear.

Miroku was of royal blood and based on the information at hand, she excelled in fuinjutsu, also known as sealing jutsu. With her fuinjutsu, she was able to seal away Moryo, a dark demon from another world. Additionally, she also gave Shion a protective charm bell, imbued with the power to protect her from any danger that may befall her away and assist her in sealing Moryo away.

Apart from the movie, Miroku also appears in the light novel with the same title, “Naruto Shippuden the Movie.”
