The Namikaze Clan is a clan belonging to the Hidden Leaf Village and they are considered to be one of the most respected clans of the Hidden Leaf Village. Members of the Namikaze Clan possess great physical prowess. This clan is known for producing skilled shinobi with great abilities. Minato Namikaze, also known as the Yellow Flash of the Leaf, was named the Fourth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf village at a considerably young age.

Currently, not many members of this clan are alive and the history of this remarkable clan is shrouded with mystery. Not much information is available revolving around the Namikaze clan’s abilities or jutsu. Members of this clan are unknown. The only known member of this clan is Minato Namikaze.

Minato Namikaze

Minato Namikaze was a member of the Namikaze Clan and a Hidden Leaf shinobi. He was a prodigy who excelled at many things and graduated from Ninja Academy at the age of 10. In the Third Great Ninja War, he defeated 1000 shinobi from the Hidden StoneVillage forcing them to concede the war and sign a peace treaty with the Hidden Leaf Village. This event gained him the nickname, The Yellow Flash of the Leaf Village.

After the war ended, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Third Hokage of the Leaf, shouldered all the blame for the war and stepped down from his position. Minato was named the Fourth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf.

During the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox’s attack on the hidden leaf, Minato confronted and battled against the masked man, later revealed to be Obito Uchiha, who was behind the fox’s attack on the village. Minato was able to deduce his ability’s weakness and attacked him with a combo of FlyingRaijin and Rasengan. The masked man was forced to retreat. Later, Minato divided Nine-Tails Chakra and sealed half of it in his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki with 8 Trigrams Seal and sealed the other half in himself with the use of Reaper Death Seal. He died as a consequence of using the Reaper Death Seal.

Q. Why is Naruto’s last name not Namikaze?

A. Naruto was given the surname, Uzumaki, to ensure his safety. Hiruzen Sarutobi was responsible for Naruto’s safety and wellbeing. He decided to give Naruto his mother’s surname so that people do not realize he is Minato’s son.

A. Information regarding Namikaze Clan’s current status is not available. It is believed that few descendants of the Namikaze Clan still reside in the Hidden Leaf Village.
