Neon Asakusa is from the Konohagakure (the Village Hidden in the Leaves) and is an Academy student of Konoha Ninja Academy. She is one of the characters in Boruto: The Next Generation, a Japanese manga series written by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto.

Neon used to play with Osuka Kamakura during their childhood because their moms were good friends. When Osuka's parents got busy with movies and couldn't be with her as much, Neon was asked to be there for her and be her companion. Neon went to the Academy's opening ceremony as part of a new class. Her classroom had a new teacher named Hana Kaka, and her deskmate was Osuka Kamakura.
Neon and Osuka observed their classmates, and when Osuka wanted tea, Neon surprised everyone by delivering it with a drone. Osuka hosted a tea party but denied wanting friends. Kae invited the class to a party first, and Neon watched as Osuka got upset. To outdo Kae, Osuka made Neon put mustard in Kae's cake with a drone. Neon confessed to doing it on Osuka's orders, and despite Kae scolding Osuka, Neon tried to comfort her.
During a team exercise, Neon used her drone to take a ball from a classmate. Neon was on a team with Eiki Fūma and Suzu Sogi in a practice team setup. During a team competition, she applauded Eiki's performance.
Neon was later picked up from the Academy by her mom after apologizing to Himawari for Osuka's rudeness. She helped find Osuka and Himawari using her drone, leading to their rescue. Osuka apologized, and they all enjoyed the pudding.

The students encouraged her, and the teacher regained control. Kae had to leave, and the class finally performed the Sannin play. Later, She, alongside others, sees off Kae at the train station.
