Oboro in Naruto

Oboro is an Amegakure genin who participated in the chunin exams and tried to disguise himself as Naruto Uzumaki when he was in the 2nd stage of the exams, but Sasuke Uchiha was able to figure this out and attacked him. He was able to know that because Naruto had a cut on his left cheek that Anko Mitarashi gave him.

On the 4th day of the chunin exams, Oboro and his teammates used genjutsu on Team Kakashi and Kabuto Yakushi, so they got tired. They then attacked them. When they figured out it was a genjutsu trap, Oboro and his teammates used clones to attack them and tire them.

Naruto used his Shadow Clone transformation to disguise his teammates and Kabuto, which made Oboro and his team come out and attack them, but then Naruto soon defeated them.

Oboro and his teammates again appeared in the Land of the Tea Escort Mission and were under Aoi Rokusho's command. Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha are given the mission to escort Idate Morino, who is the runner of the Wasabi Family and participates in the Todoroki Shrine Race, which is held every four years. Whoever wins that race will take control over Degarashi Port.

Oboro and his teammates used Genjutsu where Idate and Team Kakashi were going so they would fall off a cliff, but Naruto and his team saved Idate from falling.

When Idate and Team Kakashi were on the boat, Oboro set fire to the boat, which made Team Kakashi and Idate escape through the ocean by swimming.

When Team Kakashi was about to reach the island, Oboro and his teammates pulled them inside the water but Naruto used his Rasengan to create a whirlpool that made all the Team Oboro members sink in. It is unknown if they are alive or dead.

Oboro is a clever and cruel shinobi. He is impatient and cowardly because he always tries to attack his enemy while hiding. He is someone who wants to take revenge and does not understand that he is wrong. He is overconfident about his shinobi abilities which made him suffer defeat twice at the hands of Team Kakashi.

Oboro wears a light yellow jumpsuit that has cross stitches in the middle around the upper body. He wears a rebreather and a mask on his face. He wears shinobi sandals and has brown spiky hair and dark eyes. He is also seen wearing a full sleeve purple Kimono shirt and pants.

Oboro is skilled in genjutsu and clone techniques. He used both when he attacked Team Kakashi and used his Sly Mind Affect Technique which makes the opponent think that they are going in a straight direction but in reality, they walk in a circle. He can also use Earth Release to hide inside the ground and when necessary, he can come out from under to attack. He can also use Yin and Water Release.
