Shibi Aburame in Naruto

When Shikuro Aburame died, Shibi became Torune's Guardian, and during this time Torune and Shino formed a sibling relationship. Danzo confronted Shibi as he was interested in recruiting a young insect user for Root and expressed his interest in Shino. Shibi refused to give up his son but Danzo said that he had full authority to take Shino. Before he could take Shino, Torune offered himself as he was able to appeal to Danzo by telling him who his father was.

During the Konoha Crush, Shibi used his kikaichu to draw out the poison that had spread throughout Shino's body. He even went on a mission with his son to get Sasuke back to the village. During Pain's attack on the leaf, Shibi joins Muta and Shino when they wer4 confronting Konan. They used their kikaichu to eat the paper that Konan had wrapped several ninjas while Katsuya healed them.

He tells his son to fight with all his all in the fight. They launch a combined attack on her and launch a surprise overhead assault but it turns out to be her clone. When they look around them they see that they're surrounded by Konan's clones. Shibi and his clan members send their insects to destroy the clones which on contact with the insects detonate. Shibi tells his son to get away after realising that explosive tags had been put on the clones. They narrowly escape the blast and Konan counters the spreading fire with water as she had drenched herself with water. After defeating Pain, Shibi returns back to a destroyed Konoha.

During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Shibi was sent to the Island Turtle along with other Konoha ninjas to make sure that Naruto stays confined within his training room. When Naruto attempted to leave the temple, Shibi stopped him by saying that they'll talk about it once he came back and Iruka came in between and said that he would talk instead.

In spite of his conviction and assistance that he gave Iruka to make up that fake story to fool Naruto, it sadly ends up as a failure. This results in violent eviction of his entire team from the temple. When Naruto got to know the real story, Shibi sent out his bugs to stop him but the Nine-Tails chakra was too much for the bugs. Shibi orders Temui to alert the Barrier squad in the area to stop him.

Shibi is stoic and silent like his son but is also self possessed and has the pride of the Aburame clan. He is cautious and also believes that no one should underestimate their enemy no matter how small and weak they might look. Despite being stoic, he is shown to care deeply for his son and he has done whatever he could to prevent him from being recruited as a member of Root and aided him while he was poisoned during his fight with Kankuro.

Just like all the members of the Aburame clan, Shibi also wears glasses to protect his eyes and a single tassel hanging down from one side. He has short spiky black hair and a mustache. He wears a high collared outfit and carries a gourd on his back that is used for storing his kikaichu. He tends to keep his hands in his pocket a lot.

During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, he had a goatee and wore a hooded variant of his regular collared outfit. He also wore the Allied Shinobi forehead protector.

Shibi is a powerful Ninja and as an Aburame, he lives in coexistence with a special breed of insects known as kikaichu. He uses these insects to suck out the chakra from his enemies. He was even put in charge of a team tasked with stopping Naruto from escaping from the Turtle island during the Fourth Shinobi War.

Shibi Aburama not only appears in the series but is in a movie and is a playable video game character.
