Shinjutsu in Naruto

Shinjutsu is a type of Jutsu in the fan-favorite Naruto and Boruto Series. Unlike other categorizations of jutsu like ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu in the series, shinjutsu is the purest form, in other words, the divine form of techniques primarily only used by the members of the Otsustuki clan in the series.

What is Shinjutsu?

The popular Naruto and Boruto series has mesmerized millions of fans with its incredible plot line, a loveable cast of characters, and its eye-catching power system, that is jutsu. For years now, fans have enjoyed incredible jutsus, but it has been quite noticeable how the use of jutsu is becoming redundant in the Boruto series as the storyline is progressing. In the Naruto and Boruto fan communities, the series has received some comments on their use of jutsu techniques and how they are practically ineffective in most cases. Fortunately, now we know the reason.

With the release of Boruto chapter 75 titled, The Domain of Gods, the creators of the series have introduced a new power system, Shinjutsu, a new form of jutsu exclusive to the members of the Otsutsuki clan. In the chapter, Amado revealed information about Shinjutsu and claimed that all forms of jutsu known to man, be it ninjutsu, taijutsu, or genjutsu, are just mere mimicry of shinjutsu containing a spare of its potency, making it insignificant in comparison.

As the term shinjutsu suggests, shinjutsu is the true, pure art of things in existence. In chapter 75, Amado revealed that Eida’s ability of enchantment, the senringan that allows her to peek into all things happening in the world and browse through past events, and Daemon’s ability to reflect all harmful intents and attacks aimed towards him are forms of shinjutsu, originally possessed by Shibai Otsutsuki who had attained godhood. As of now, not much is known about this divine system but this revelation has captured the interest of the fans of the series and is spreading like wildfire in the Naruto/Boruto fan communities.

Although the existence of shinjutsu was just revealed in the latest chapter, it is definitely going to stir things up in the Boruto world and the series is going to witness an uproar. Hopefully, the authors would treat the fans of the series with more information about this divine ability in the upcoming chapters.
