He was watching the contest alongside his daughter, Chiyo and Shu, the son of the daimyo of the Land of That. Additionally, he was also responsible for presenting the winners of the contest with prizes. Unfortunately, Akatsuki, an infamous criminal organization, invaded the Land of This. During this invasion, This Daimyo lost his life in Sasori of the Red Sand’s puppet assault (Red Secret Technique: Performance of a Hundred Puppets). After the incident, the country was taken over by the Land of That.

There isn't much information available regarding This Daimyo's personality due to his lack of appearance and relevant information in the series. Based on his limited appearance, it can be said that he was a nice and happy person but had grown a bit arrogant due to his daimyo status. He also seemed to know a lot about food and would often frown when his food lost its texture and became soggy due to his attendants checking it for poison.
