Nono Yakushi

Nono was a member of Konoha's Anbu's Root faction and she was an expert in intelligence gathering but she left to run an orphanage in the village. One day she found a wounded child near a deserted village and brought him back with her and healed him.

As the child couldn't remember anything about himself, Nono named him Kabuto as he was wearing a helmet at that time. One night Kabuto was found roaming past bedtime curfew and the other caretakers got him to the clock to punish him.

Nono noticed that he was squinting at the clock and gave him her glasses. This gesture caused Kabuto to break down and he thanked her for everything she's done for him.

Three years later when the orphanage was treating an injured Konoha Ninja, Orochimaru came across Kabuto and took interest in him. Later, Danzo approached Nono and requested her help in gathering intel on Iwagakure and she had to infiltrate them.

Nono turned down the request but had to give in as Danzo had threatened to harm the orphanage if she didn't do so. She was in shock when Danzo said that an orphan had to replace the injured Root Ninja and even more shocked when the chosen child turned out to be Kabuto as he himself has volunteered when he eavesdropped into their conversations.

Kabuto was then sent to infiltrate Iwa where Nono attacked him. She was critically wounded by Kabuto's chakra Scalpel. Kabuto panicked and tried to help him but Nono refused as she didn't recognize him. This shock made Kabuto run away and she was found by other Iwa ninjas.

Years later Orochimaru revealed that this whole thing was devised by Danzo as Kabuto had become a dangerous asset to Root and had to be killed. Nono was double crossed by Danzo as she believed that Danzo would let Kabuto go if she would assassinate the other person who actually turned out to be Kabuto. After she was brainwashed and went to kill the real Kabuto, she couldn't recognize him at all.

Nono was a very kind and calm woman as she took in Kabuto and fought to make him stay even though they did not have a lot of money. She was also very generous. Even though she was a member of Root, she was unable to lose her emotions which is why she wasn't suitable for Root.

She was a young woman with shoulder length brown hair which was covered with a white coif and she had emerald green eyes. She wore a black, loose fitting gown with a white apron over it with sandals. She wore circular glasses which she later on replaced with square glasses. While she infiltrated Iwagakure she wore their village's flak jacket and forehead protector.

She was quite skilled in medical ninjutsu and was able to heal wounds as she had excellent chakra control. She was a very capable teacher and taught Kabuto medical ninjutsu. She was an elite kunoichi and excellent in information gathering.
