Yamaoka appeared in Boruto episode: 148 in which he was seen carrying Ikkyu’s bags when they came to the Konoha village alongside the Daimyo of the Land of Fire to meet Naruto Uzumaki.
Yamaoka was seen following the order of Ikkyu to buy cards from different shops in Konoha. While going around the village, Tento saw Naruto Uzumaki's card in Iwabee Yuino’s hand and asked him to give him the card. He even offers him any amount, but Iwabee refuses, which makes Tento mad, and then wherever they go, he asks Yamaoka to buy from that shop.
Yamaoka later found Tento training with his bodyguard Boruto and initially disapproved, stating that such activities were not fitting for the heir of a daimyo. After some arguments, Yamaoka allowed Tento to continue his training, but only while in Konoha. Eventually, the Mujina Bandits' leader Shojoji killed Yamaoka and disguised himself as Yamaoka using Corpse Clone Technique.
Yamaoka was a loyal servant of Tento and Ikkyu. He cared for Tento and never became angry, even when Tento did not talk to him in a good manner.
Yamaoka wore a white shirt with a collar turned up and a string used as a bow tie, along with a dark tuxedo jacket, vest, pocket square, pinstriped pants, and simple shoes. He was an old man with short, light-colored hair styled in a pompadour, with the sides trimmed short. He had dark eyes, wore half-frame glasses, and had a well-groomed mustache.
