Yuga’s Background

Yuga is an anime-only character and not much is known about him. However, it is stated that Yuga and his brothers (Asaka, Yoruga, and Hiruga) were orphans who found refuge at the orphanage of the Land of Haze. Even though it was a small, underdeveloped nation, people there enjoyed eating well. They would frequently play under a big peach tree as well.

Yuga made his debut in the Kara Actuation Arc. In the arc, it was revealed that Yuga and his brothers were dispatched from the Land of Haze with a mission to retrieve the cells of the First Hokage of Konohagakure (Village Hidden in the Leaves), Hashirama Senju. They came to know that the Hashirama Cells had somehow made their way into the black market located in the Land of Silence. In order to locate the cells, Yuga, along with his brothers, tried to seduce Kirisaki, a rogue shinobi of Kirigakure (Village Hidden in the Mist), by disguising himself as a woman and persuading him to reveal its location. However, his plans were ruined when Boruto Uzumaki, a Konoha’s Team 7 genin squad member and the protagonist of the anime, arrived, taking the appearance of an attractive woman using his Oiroke no Jutsu (Sexy Jutsu) and making Kirisaki lose interest in Yuga and his brothers' disguises.

After that, Yuga and his brothers saw Boruto and his comrades taking Kirisaki, who was in an unconscious state. Yuga and his brothers followed them in order to discover that Sakuya, a noblewoman of the Land of Silence, was in possession of the cell and began planning to retrieve the cell from her.

However, they discovered that the castle Sakuya was residing in was protected by a barrier that kept intruders at bay. Because of Yoruga's sacrifice, Asaka, Yoruga, and Yuga were able to sneak through the barrier ninjutsu surrounding the castle and infiltrate it. The three brothers then located Sakuya, eliminated her, and retrieved the Hashirama Cells in her possession.

When Boruto arrived at the scene, they took advantage of this development and framed him for the murder of Sakuya and her butler by alerting the castle guards of the transgression and blaming Boruto for it. They then used the commotion as a distraction for their escape. After they escaped the village and were out of any immediate danger, the three siblings mourned the death of their brother, Yoruga.

As Yuga and his brothers were making a break for it and returning to his nation, Asaka soon realized that they were being followed. To ensure the success of their mission, Yuga volunteered and stayed behind to stall their pursuers. As they parted ways, Yuga gave Asaka his earring. Yuga used a kinjutsu, a forbidden technique known as Haze Ninja Art: Forbidden Jutsu: Ephemeral Life that summoned an out worldly creature in exchange for Yuga’s life to stop their pursuers dead in their tracks. However, Yuga’s sacrifice was in vain, as the Konoha shinobi were able to defeat the creature and resume their pursuit.

Yuga’s Personality

Yuga was a man of principle. He was a strong and reliable shinobi. Like his brothers, he would willingly sacrifice his life without a second thought for the sake of his brothers and his nation. Yuga was a strong-willed man and did not hesitate to make a sacrifice in order to complete his missions. However, from time to time, he found himself torn between his loyalty to his land and mission and his love for his family.

Like his brothers, Yuga became the man he was because of the hardships he faced in his childhood. His rough and cruel childhood made him capable of treasuring any joy he could find in the world and sharing it with his brothers.

Yuga’s Appearance

Yuga was a young man with a fair skin tone, dark eyes, and long, purplish hair that covered his back. He wore a blue earring on his right ear. He wore a green, sleeveless robe with beige trimmings, a white shirt underneath, and a purple band wrapped around his waist. He wore a light, tannish green hood paired with dark pants and a pair of sandals. He also kept his hands wrapped in white bandages. He also carried a tanto tied on his hip.

Yuga’s Abilities

Yuga was a skilled shinobi of the Land of Haze, training in their combat abilities and jutsus. He also carried a tanto, a small sword, with him, which indicates the possibility that he was trained in Kenjutsu, sword fighting techniques. He was also skilled in Transformation Jutsu.

Like his brothers, he was also trained in the Kinjutsus of the Land of Haze. He excelled in Haze Ninja Art: Forbidden Jutsu: Ephemeral Life. This technique creates a specter that uses the user's life force to maintain physical form, resembling a golem. As the creature takes physical form, it surrounds its targets with a sizable, potent, and almost unbreakable barrier. It can absorb chakra from living things to increase its power and even regenerate lost limbs. It has blitzing speed, power, and remarkable resilience.
