Gamatama is a Mount Myōboku tadpole. He appeared before Fukasaku and Naruto during their training, to inform them about the disappearance of their messenger toad named Kōsuke, who was in Konohagakure at the time.

Gamatama doesn’t have any combat skills and is yet to form a contract with a shinobi, so he is entrusted as a name-registration clerk on Mount Myōboku.
During Pain’s Assault in Konoha, Kōsuke, a Mount Myōboku toad, was slaughtered by Danzō, before the former could convey the message about Konoha’s destruction to Fukasaku and Naruto. After Kōsuke’s name disappeared from the Mount Myōboku’s name-register after his death, Gamatama, who was watching over the list of inhabitants of Mount Myōboku at the time, immediately went to inform Fukasaku and Naruto about his death.
Gamatama appears to be quiet and gentle. He is also very dutiful, as he immediately informed Fukasaku when Kōsuke’s name disappeared.
Gamatama has a tiny body with black irides and yellow sclera. His skin is pink over the upper half of the body, while the underside is white. Since he is only a tadpole, he has a tail.
Gamatama doesn’t have any battle skills because he is still just a tadpole, so he has been given the duty as the name-registration clerk in Mount Myōboku.
