Kayo in Naruto

Not much is known about Kayo’s past as she made little to no appearance in the anime. Additionally, she is only a part of the Naruto anime, making her a filler, non-canon character in the series.

Kayo debuted in the Lady Daimyo Search Mission, where she was introduced as the wife of the daimyo of the Land of Honey. While on the road, Kayo's delegation met heavy weather in the arc, so they decided to detour and find refuge. A heavy mist engulfed them as they traveled, and then a light followed, leaving only the trash-filled litter the princess was being transported in as a sole reminder of their passage. Later, Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Akamaru were assigned by Tsunade Senju, the Fifth Hokage, to locate Kayo. Later, with their joint efforts, the Konoha genins located Kayo and freed her, and her companions from Shiromari, Koza Kubisaki's personal chameleon summon that assumed the appearance of a castle.

This is the only incident where Kayo appeared, and she hasn’t reappeared since. Due to the lack of information, it is hard to determine whether she is still alive or not. For the time being, Kayo is believed to be alive and well until any additional information comes to light suggesting otherwise.
