Orochimaru is one of the most renowned shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Leaves. In the original series, he portrayed the role of a major antagonist but later in NarutoShippuden, he aids the Allied Shinobi Force in the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Orochimaru is one of the Three Legendary Sannin of the Hidden Leaf. Before he turned to the path of evil doings, he served the Hidden Leaf with loyalty. After experiencing the loss of his loved ones one after another, he started believing that life had no meaning if it wasn’t endless. With this in his mind, he started on his journey to obtain immortality and to discover and learn every jutsu that existed. In his journey, he sacrificed many lives for the sake of his inhumane experiments and discovered many jutsus. Here are some of the most interesting jutsus used by Orochimaru.
Cursed Seal is one of the most seen techniques in the Naruto series. This is a technique that Orochimaru used on his potential vessels or subordinates for many purposes. It was introduced in the series as a technique that Orochimaru used to share his strength with others.
Later, in Naruto Shippuden, we get more details regarding the subject. Orochimaru came up with this technique as a result of experiments on Jugo’s body. Jugo’s body has an innate ability to absorb nature energy which in turn gives him an exponential boost in physical prowess and the ability to shapeshift certain aspects of his body for weaponized usage. Orochimaru extracted Jugo’s bodily enzyme and mixed it with his own Senjustu and came up with a cursed seal that he could brand on others.
Aside from giving a power boost, the cursed seal also plays a significant role in Orochimaru’s pursuit of immortality. Orochimaru stores his chakra in every cursed seal that he brands others with, which can be later used to revive him in case he dies. Orochimaru came back to life a total of two times in the series with this ability. The first time, he gets revived through Sasuke’s cursed seal, but he gets sealed away moments later byItachi Uchiha. The second time he gets revived by Sasuke Uchiha using the cursed seal branded on Anko.
Summoning Rashomon is one of the strongest defensive jutsu in existence in the Naruto series. In this technique, the user can summon the great Rashomon Gate for protection against incoming attacks. There are multiple versions of this jutsu based on the number of Rashomon summoned by the user. Orochimaru has so far used the Summoning: Rashomon and Summoning: Triple Rashomon in the series.
It is a technique that Orochimaru used against Itachi Uchiha when he came back to life from Sasuke’s cursed seal. This is one of the strongest snake-related jutsu that Orochimaru possesses. With this technique, he can transform into a Great White Snake with eight heads and eight tails. This technique is also known as the Eight-Headed Serpent Jutsu.
Immortality Jutsu, also known as the Living Corpse Reincarnation, is a technique developed by Orochimaru which allows him to transfer his soul into a vessel body. With this technique, Orochimaru acquired immortality to a certain extent. With this, he can periodically transfer his soul to a stronger host body which practically makes him immortal as long as he can transfer his soul before his residing host body reaches its breaking point.
With this technique, Orochimaru can transfer his consciousness into a white snake which can take control of a host body and mind by entering the host body.
It is a technique that was originally invented by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. This technique was classified as a forbidden jutsu as it interferes with the laws of nature. Orochimaru masters this technique with trial and error and eventually improves it with his numerous experiments. This jutsu allows him to revive any dead soul.
To perform Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu, the user needs an appropriate amount of the target soul’s DNA and a living host to serve as a vessel for the soul. This jutsu is considered one of the strongest jutsu as it does not consume the user’s chakra. The reincarnated souls possess infinite chakra and can’t be killed, having indestructible bodies.
Orochimaru is the wielder of the legendary sword, Sword of Kusanagi. It is an exceptionally sharp and strong blade that cuts everything in its way. Even if Orochimaru gets disarmed, he can control this sword with his hand movements.
