San's Bird in Naruto

Very little is known about San’s bird, as it was just introduced as San’s summon and did not play much of a role in the series. Also, San’s bird is just a part of the Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Will of Fire and does not appear or receive any mentions in the manga, making it a non-canon character in the series.

In the movie, Team Kakashi is dispatched on a mission to track down the missing Kekkei Genkai-wielding ninja. Sai is attacked by the bird-like creature (San's bird) while flying on his own ink bird, which causes his bird to crash and causes him to fall. Gaara and other Sunagakure (Village Hidden in the Sand) ninjas are then attacked as they travel to meet Tsunade Senju, the Fifth Hokage.

Later, as Team Asuma was pursuing Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno, the bird attacked them. Choji Akimichi eventually defeats it by smashing it into a wall with Super Multi-Size Technique, likely killing it in the process.

Since San’s bird has not been seen since this incident, it is hard to determine whether it is dead or alive. Unless new information comes to light that suggests otherwise, it is currently believed that it died during its confrontation with Choji Akimichi.

As suggested by its name, it has the capability to fly at high speed. Additionally, it can shoot explosive feathers with high accuracy. It also has jet-like modifications in its body that give it the ability to shoot short bursts that gives it immense speed for a limited time.
