Chamaru is from Konohagakure (the Village Hidden in the Leaves) and is Ankita Inuzuka’s partner. He is one of the Inuzuka’s clan Ninken (Ninja Dogs). He is one of the characters in Boruto: The Next Generation, a Japanese manga series written by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto.

Chamaru once got injured and his right hind leg got fully injured during a mission, Ankita Inuzuka found him and Katasuke Tōno told her that he will make him a prosthetic leg. This made Ankita decide to join the Konoha Scientific Ninja Tool Research Center.
Later, when Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, and Mitsuki visited the Konoha Scientific Ninja Tool Research Center, Chamaru greeted Boruto and because of his story, he started liking the ninja scientific tools once again.
Upon receiving news that Konohamaru Sarutobi was missing during his mission, Boruto's team was tasked with locating him. Akita offered Chamaru's tracking abilities for the mission, which eventually led the team and Katasuke to a crashed blimp where they narrowly defeated a group of self-moving puppets.
Chamaru then guided them to a cave where they found Konohamaru and his partner Mugino. However, their reunion was cut short when they were confronted by Ao, who held them at gunpoint and demanded information about a black container in the airship.
After dealing with Koji Kashin, Chamaru discovered an unconscious boy (Kawaki) near some destroyed puppets and alerted Team Konohamaru and Katasuke.
Chamaru is a friendly and cheerful dog who is also brave and intelligent.
Chamaru's appearance closely resembles a Shiba Inu dog, with his medium-sized, light brown body and a very fluffy tail. It's worth noting that he has a prosthetic leg to compensate for his missing right hind leg.
Chamaru, as Inuzuka’s clan dog, has the great ability to track things and is also a ninja dog. He knows how to move like a ninja even on water.
