Ginji had a limited appearance in the series and he was seen in episode 122 of Naruto Shippuden, which was titled The Hunt. He was affiliated with the Akatsuki and was in charge of Kakuzu's vast money, which came from collecting the ninja bounty.
He first appeared during the Itachi Pursuit Mission as following Kakuzu's passing, Sasuke Uchiha, Suigetsu Hozuki, Karin Uzumaki, and Jugo formed Hebi and went in search of Ginji to learn about Akatsuki's whereabouts. Genji sent Kyoya to look into a noise he heard outside. Suigetsu, however, used the Kubikiribocho, also known as the Executioner's Blade, to violently overpower both men. Ginji immediately informed Suigetsu that he would tell him anything he wants to know and begged Suigetsu to spare his life after he knocked out Kyoya.
Ginji has not appeared since this occurrence and thus his absence makes it impossible to say for sure whether he is dead or alive. He is currently assumed to be alive and well unless any information surfaces indicating otherwise.
Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Ginji’s personality. From his status, it can be deduced that Ginji acted tough but was easily influenced and did not hesitate to share rat someone out if his life depended on it.
Ginji appeared to be intimidating due to his rough exterior and frequent angry expression. He has dark eyes and short, uninspired black hair. He usually dressed in a plain blue suit and shoes, and he has also been spotted smoking a cigar.
Ginji is a banker, not a shinobi, and did not undergo any shinobi training according to the available information about him. Thus, he does not possess any countable combat skills whatsoever.
