Honoka was tasked with using her sealing techniques to contain the Ultimate Summoning Beast while the researchers worked on it. However, as the beast grew stronger, Honoka's techniques became ineffective, and the beast broke free. The researchers pleaded with Honoka to find a solution as the beast started attacking and killing them. Eventually, Honoka was left alone to face the beast, but even her best attempts at sealing it failed. In her final moments, she called out for help, but there was no one around to hear her cries as the beast killed her.
Later, Honoka's spirit was unable to find peace, and she wandered the island, waiting for an opportunity to fulfill her duty. When a group of Konoha shinobi arrived on the island to rescue Guy, Aoba noticed Honoka's presence and followed her, ultimately leading him to a cache of research information left behind by the scientists. Honoka then guided him to the Ultimate Summoning Beast before its awakening. As the shinobi engaged in a fierce battle with the beast, Honoka managed to restrain it momentarily, allowing Naruto Uzumaki to launch an attack with his Wind Release: Rasenshuriken. With her duty accomplished, Honoka's soul could finally move on.
Honoka's warm nature was evident despite being visible only as a soul and unable to speak. Even in the face of danger, such as the attack by the Ultimate Summoning Beast on Summoning Island, she remained composed and level-headed. In a picture displayed in her room, she was depicted as cheerful, showcasing her positive attitude toward life.
Honoka had straight red hair that she styled with a white band and deep, dark eyes. Her attire consisted of a sleeveless purple kimono blouse with yellow trims and was held together by a traditional obi with a long, flowing bow. She paired this with a short white skirt and mesh armor underneath. It was apparent that she had a preference for going barefoot.
Honoka had amazing skills in Fuinjutsu, which was able to restrict the Ultimate Summoning Beast from going away so Naruto could use his RasenShuriken.
