Kushimaru Kuriare was a heartless ninja who did not care about anyone else other than him, and later in his life, he killed his own sensie. Kushimaru also killed Might Guy’s father, Might Duy, who came to the rescue when The Seven Swordsmen of the Mist surrounded young Might Guy, Ebisu, and Genma Shiranui.
In the Fourth Shinobi World war, Paku and Gari summoned Kushimaru and other members of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist against the Third Division, which was led by Kakashi Sensei.
Kushimaru enters the battle while hidden in a dense mist and starts a silent killing by repeatedly stabbing many shinobi before bundling them together. The cloud disappears after Zabuza Momochi is defeated which exposes Kushimaru to the enemy.
On the second day of the battle, Kushimaru reappeared as soon as dawn arrived, and he and Jinpachi began a killing rampage before being stopped by Kakashi. A fight between Kushimaru and his other swordsmen breaks out when he decides to take back the Kubikiribocho from Kakashi because he is upset about an outsider using it.
The swordsmen overpowered Kakashi until Might Guy backed him up by using their immortality to their advantage. His inability is shown by the Konohagakure shinobi's cooperation and his constant disagreements with Jinpachi.
The only thing mentioned in the manga about Kushimaru and the other reincarnated shinobi engaged with the Third Division was that they had been locked up before Kakashi and Might Guy left for Naruto Uzumaki's location. Later, after the Impure World Reincarnation technique was defeated and Kushimaru's soul was exorcised to the afterlife, a kind of light encircled his sealed corpse
Kushimaru was cold heart killer and did not respect anyone, a list of people that includes his sensei, who taught him so much and was eventually killed by him. Additionally, he enjoyed a maniacal laugh.
Kushimaru decided to take back the Kubikiribocho from Kakashi because he did not like to see anyone other than one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist wielding one of their swords. He and Jinpachi Munashi also frequently got into heated debates. Kakashi Hatake gave the two swordsmen the moniker "Heartless Pair" due to their combined cruelty.
A white, porcelain Anbu mask hid his face with a green triangle on the lower half, slits for eyeholes, and Kirigakure's symbol etched into the top. He had long, shaggy, straw-blond hair, was tall and skinny and was seen wearing Kirigakure's striped wrist and leg guards, a sleeveless black shirt, and pants with a waist guard. Like the other Seven Swordsmen of his day, he had bandages around his neck.
As one of the members of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist, Kushimaru was a specialist in Kenjutsu:- the ability to use Kunai or sword. He used the Silent Killing method, as shown by his use while battling the Third Division in the mist.
Nuibari, a special longsword, had been in Kushimaru's possession and with it, he could quickly and accurately penetrate many rivals while stitching them together with a significant length of wire attached to the blade. This effectively illustrated his expert agility when using this specific needle-like sword, as he could continually grab it firmly after piercing his opponents with it just minutes earlier.
He was spotted utilizing senbon to create a complex structure that severed his opponents' feet as a trap for them. He did this by burying his wire strings beneath. He may also employ a method that would slowly and cruelly kill the enemy.
