Lion-Turtle was a summoning of Ni, a skilled kunoichi and one of Hiruko’s three followers. In Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Will of Fire, Lion-Turtle made its on-screen debut. In the movie, Ni summoned the Lion-Turtle in order to fight and defeat the members of Team Kurenai, consisting of Shino Aburame, Akamaru, Kiba Inuzuka, and Hinata Hyuga, led by Kurenai Yuhi.
However, as it turns out, Team Kurenai was more than it bargained for. Then, the Lion-Turtle merges with its summoner, Ni. To its misfortune, it was still not enough and was defeated by Shino’s insects, presumably dying in the process.
Lion-Turtle is a summon so it did not showcase any personality traits. However, as with most of the summons, it abided by his summoner’s commands.
The Lion-Turtle was an enormous creature that resembled both a lion and a turtle. It had a green fur mane covering its face, as well as an orange protective plate with two piercings on either side. The exterior of its body was covered with recognizable red marks.
When combined with Ni, Ni's legs are entirely fused with the beast, sticking to the top of its skull. It also had horns, ear piercings, and a protective shell on its back huge spikes.
The Lion-Turtle is huge in size and possesses the great strength that comes with it. It also possesses Fire Release and is able to breathe fire from its mouth. It is also able to generate and shoot steam at its enemies from its tail.
However, as Kiba deduced, it was very slow, a consequence of its huge size, and due to its slow reflexes and movements, it was unable to dodge fast moves.
In addition to the movie, Lion-Turtle also appears in the novel with the same title, Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Will of Fire.
