Raido Namiashi in Naruto

During his entrance ceremony into the Academy, Raido was there when Obito Uchiha arrived late and was later placed in a team with Kurenai Yuhi and Asuma Sarutobi. He is highly regarded for his assassination skills and is also an elite guard to the Hokage. He served the Fourth Hokage and he was taught the Flying Thunder Formation Technique, the seal for which they have marked the Fifth Hokage so that they can travel to her at any time.

During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, as the Black Zetsu located the daily, he was intercepted by Mei Terumi. Raido along with Genma, Chojuro and the rest of her team arrived shortly after to back her up. After Naruto’s Shadow clone arrived and crashed into a tree after being sidestepped by Black Zetsu, Raido said that Naruto hadn't changed at all and still rushed into battle without thinking.

While battling the Black Zetsu, he, Genma and Iwashi prepared to use the Flying Thunder God Technique to transport Mei to the front lines of the battlefield according to Shikaku's orders. He informed Mei that they could use the technique and apologized for it being so packed together. As soon as Tsunade was transported to the battlefield, they transported Mei to the Frontline. He later stood with his teammates behind the Kages when they confronted Madara Uchiha.

As Mei and A were engaged in battle with Madara, Raido said that there was no way that they could force their way through. Dodai then said that they should go after Mu who was controlled by Kabuto who had merged up from the surface. The four men went after their target which was slapped away by A who was attacked by Madara. As the battle between Madara and the Kage continued, they continued to fight and chase Mu.

With the Impure World Reincarnation released, Raido watched as Mu got enveloped in a light before he was deconstructed.

Raido is very calm and collected, and he is deeply loyal to Konoha. He is strict, serious, clumsy and methodical, and was a very powerful spirit that never yields to adversity.

Raido has brown spiky hair and dark eyes, and his weal-like scar his most distinctive feature. He wears the standard Konoha uniform with the green flak jacket and forehead protector. He also wears small appendages on his hands which range from black bandages to metal rings on his fingers.

Raido is skilled in kenjutsu, which is seen in his fight against Hidan and Kakuzu. He is quite skilled in using his sword known as Kokuto- a katana with a darkened, non- reflective surface that is coated in poison.

He is seen using Space Time Ninjutsu as he is able to use the Flying Thunder Formation Technique which was taught to him by the Fourth Hokage. He uses this technique in conjunction with Genma and Iwashi.

Raido Namiashi not only appears in the series but is also a video game character.
