Reki’s Background

Very little is known about Reki and the information regarding his past is still shrouded in mystery. Reki was introduced as a jonin of Sunagakure.

In the anime, Reki first appeared during the Kazekage Rescue Mission in episode 31 of Naruto Shippuden titled, “The Legacy.” In the arc, Reki was among the group of Sunagakure shinobi who went searching for Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage, after he was abducted by Sasori and Hidan, members of the infamous mercenary group, Akatsuki.

After Gaara was successfully recovered with the help of the Konoha shinobi group, Reki was saddened by the death of Lady Chiyo, who revived Gaara and sacrificed her own life in the process.

Reki has not appeared since and thus due to his lack of appearance, it has not been confirmed whether he is dead or alive. As of now, Reki is presumed to be alive and well until any information comes to light suggesting otherwise.

Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Reki’s personality. Based on his limited role, it can be deduced that he cares deeply for his comrades and fellow Sunagakure shinobi. Despite being a seasoned shinobi, he was still saddened by Lady Chiyo’s demise.

Reki is a young man with a lean physique, fair skin tone, small dark eyes, and thick eyebrows. He was dressed in the standard outfit of a Sunagakure shinobi, a dark outfit underneath a high-collared brown flak jacket with shoulder pads, a Sunagakure forehead protector, and a ghutrah covering his hair.

Reki is an experienced jonin of Sunagakure. It is evident of the fact that he is a very capable and seasoned shinobi. It is also stated that he has fought countless battles, which is proof in itself of his capabilities.
