Nango in Naruto

Nangō and the rest of the Magaki group go to Mount Katsuragi in search of the Tsuchigumo clan's kinjutsu. They managed to destroy the barrier around the mountain and make their way up. They couldn't find the technique and ran into Tonbee who they defeated quickly. They soon discovered that Hotaru had the jutsu that they had been searching for and started to find her.

Later on Nangō and his group head to the village where they ambush Hotaru with the help of the villagers to restrain and get a hold on the technique. Nangō uses his mud body to restrain Hotaru and takes the scroll from her backpack which he gives to Akaboshi. The scroll turns out to be rigged and explodes which allows Hotaru to escape. Nangō and his team pursue Hotaru and after catching up with her they're interrupted by Utakata who saves Hotaru from them.

After Utakata escapes with Hotaru, Nangō and the rest of his group are confronted by their leader, who tells them that Utakata is a missing ninja from Kirigakure who has a bounty of 50 million. All this while Naruto thinks of Shiranami, the leader of Magaki group as his ally and this leads to him being sealed into the Infinite Embrace. Naruto being angry as he was tricked awakened his Nine-Tails Chakra and destroyed the house that they were in.

As the group was shocked that he escaped, they tried to cast Infinite Embrace on him again to steal his chakra. Despite this Naruto was able to break free but fell unconscious afterwards. However, before the Magaki group could catch him, Utakata appeared and used Acid Permeation. He asked them where they kept Hotaru by intimidating them with the Six-Tails Chakra.

Sensing the danger, Akaboshi orders Nangō and others to retreat with Shiranami at the village. Later on, when Naruto and Utakata returned back to the village, it was revealed that Magaki had used a mind technique to hypnotize the villagers into fighting Konoha. Just when they were about to win, Team Yamato came in time as backup and they all engaged in battle. Nango and his group tried to kill Team Yamato with their sharp technique but they failed and Nango was knocked out by Sai.

Nango is known as a man of few words and he is a dim brute. Whenever he does speak, he is seen to be a very keen observer.

Nango has long brown spiky hair that is tied in a ponytail and he has bangs. He has small black eyes and wears an open vest that is purple in colour on the upper part and light green in colour at the bottom half. He has white bandages around his forearms. He wears pants with white bandages wrapped around his lower legs with black shinobi sandals.

Nango is able to use Earth Release and is able to turn his body into mud to evade fatal blows. He specializes in cooperation techniques and is part of the transferring of chakra to Akaboshi to increase the deadlines of his attacks. He can use supplementary techniques like team transformation, shattering barriers or restraining enemies with a shadow rope.

He can also use Lightning Release too. He can use Impermanence of Worldly Things, a technique which creates a shard that breaks up into multiple shards and impales the enemies.
