Sari in Naruto

Very little is known about her childhood and the information regarding Sari’s past, her heritage is still shrouded in mystery. Sari is a graduate of the Hidden SandNinja Academy and a genin of the Village Hidden in the Sand.

In the anime, Sari first appeared during the Kazekage Rescue Mission in episode 31 of Naruto Shippuden titled, “The Legacy.” When the Hidden Sand Village band together to save Gaara after the Akatsuki abduct him, Sari can be seen with Matsuri and other members of the group.

Both kunoichis were happy to see Gaara alive and well. She tells Ittetsu that Gaara is the kind of powerful, stoic elite that could never be eliminated so easily. Then, she and Matsuri dash to Gaara's aid, bringing Naruto to the ground in the process.

Sari then reappeared during the Five Kage Summit. As Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari depart for the Kage Summit, Sari can be seen standing right in front of Baki, Ebizo, Matsuri, and other villagers and admonishing the older siblings to take good care of Gaara.

Sari has not appeared since and thus due to her lack of appearance, it has not been confirmed whether she is dead or alive. As of now, Sari is presumed to be alive and well until any information comes to light suggesting otherwise.

Due to her lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Sari’s personality. Based on her limited role, it can be deduced that she is Matsuri's close friend and shares her adoration for the Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage of Hidden Sand, to the point where she volunteers to help on the expedition to save him.

Sari has a bang that falls in the centre of her face, long brown hair, and big brown eyes. Her outfit consists of a purple side-slit skirt, a beige high-collar blouse with a bandanna-style Hidden Sand forehead protector, and bandages wrapped around her waist. Additionally, she wears a pair of blue thigh-high stockings, arm guards, and standard shinobi sandals.

Although Sari is a full-fledged genin of the Hidden Sand Village, no information is available regarding her abilities. She never used any technique or showed any significant skill in her limited appearance.

Apart from manga and its anime adaptation, Sari is also part of a novel, game and movie related to the Naruto franchise. Sari made her literary debut with the publication of Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Will of Fire novel. She also appeared in Naruto Shippuden: Unlimited Ninja Storm 2 and thus made her debut in the gaming category.

Sari also appeared in Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Will of Fire. When Gaara thinks of the members of Hidden Sand, Sari and a number of other villagers, including his siblings and Baki, appear in his thoughts. He claims that the lives of the citizens of Hidden Sand are now his responsibility and"belong to him" and he feels it is his responsibility to defend them.
