The design of the Speedo in GTA V draws inspiration from the 2003-present Chevrolet Express van, with some elements from the 2005 Ford E150. The front of the Speedo is relatively simple, featuring a bulky black bumper with a license plate in the center, a square-shaped grille with the Vapid logo on the central horizontal divider, and silver housings with square headlights and rectangular lower lights, with the outer ones serving as turn signals.
The hood has a slanted profile and is uncomplicated in design. In the enhanced version of the game, the badge has been moved from the grille divider to the hood, and there are some noticeable signs of dirt and trash near the wheel humps.The van comes in a variety of single colors for the body, with five-spoke angled rims and medium-profile tires.
The Speedo's performance in GTA V is influenced by its previous appearance in GTA IV, retaining many of its qualities. However, the updated handling in GTA V has resulted in the van receiving a suspension upgrade, making it feel more stable while turning corners and significantly improving its turning radius. Although, the van seems to have less traction than its predecessor, which can cause the wheels to spin when accelerating.
Despite this, the Speedo is highly durable during collisions, with no major deformation occurring even after multiple head-on collisions and rolls. However, compared to other vans in the game, the engine is relatively weak. In terms of speed, the Speedo boasts the highest top speed among vans in the game, surpassing many average sedans in this regard.
However, its off-road capabilities are considerably poorer than other vans due to its low power engine. The vehicle is powered by a high-torque V8 diesel engine, with a 5-speed gearbox and a rear-wheel drive layout. Its engine sound is shared with other vehicles such as the Burrito and the Pony.
The Speedo cannot be modified in GTA V, however it can be repaired.
Chop - During this mission, the van is prominently featured as it is used to pursue D, who is attempting to evade on a motorcycle. Additionally, this is the inaugural mission in which Chop rides in the back of the van.
Hood Safari - The Speedo is used to go to the location of the drug deal and is later destroyed by the Ballas.

Sometimes spawns in a parking lot in Chumash Plaza.
A black Speedo can be found parked on a dirt road in Fort Zancudo.

The vehicle's name could be a reference to a shortened term for speedometer. It is also a pun on the word "pedo", associated with the stereotype that pedophiles drive vans to abduct young children.
This is the only vehicle that is able to max out its top speed on the analog speedometer, as the vehicle's speedometer reads up to 100, and the van can go 100 mph.
Radio Los Santos, The Lab, West Coast Classics and Blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM are the default radio stations that play when the player enters this vehicle.
