Yokozuna’s Background

Very little is known about Yokozuna as his past is still shrouded in mystery. In the series, Yokozuna was introduced as the leader of the Sumo Wrestlers.

Yokozuna made his debut in the anime in the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation Arc. In the storyline, during the Fourth Shinobi World War, Yokozuna and the rest of his Sumo Wrestlers group attacked Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village) while the shinobi of the village were away fighting in the war. However, they were unsuccessful as the Allied Mothers Force put an end to their plans. As Yokozuna and his men were escaping from Konoha, Konohamaru attacked and defeated them using his Rasengan.

Yokozuna hasn’t made an appearance since so it is close to impossible to determine his current status. For the time being, he is assumed to be alive and well until any new information comes to light suggesting otherwise.
