Akatsuchi in Naruto

Akatsuchi was born and brought up in Iwagakure, where he did his training and became the Jonin rank shinobi and loyal servant of the Third Tsuchikage (Onoki). Onoki had full faith in Akatsuchi, so he always kept him near. When the Fourth Raikage requested the Five Kage Summit, Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi were chosen as bodyguards to assist Third Tsuchikage at the Five Kage Summit, which happened in the Land of Iron.

When Onoki struggled to carry his heavy language by himself, Akatsuchi carried him and his bag to help make his journey easier. During the summit, Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi protected the Tsuchikage when White Zetsu appeared. When Sasuke Uchiha invaded the meeting hall later, the two bodyguards chose not to attack him, instead moving out of the way to allow the Fifth Mizukage to deal with him.

Later on, he got caught in Zetsu's Spore Technique and when Onoki notices Sasuke escaping Mei, he recommends that the two join the fight. Akatsuchi accepts and employs the Earth Release: Golem Technique to summon a gigantic earthen golem that bites and rips the Zetsu clone from Akatsuchi's body.

Later, Tsuchikage sent Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi on a political mission to strengthen Kirigakure's relationship with Iwagakure, along with Chojuro, who the Fifth Mizukage also sent on the same mission to stop Ganryu.

During the mission, Naruto saves Akatsuchi, who got hurt in the battle against Ganryu and his squad. After some time, when Kisame Hoshigaki could locate Killer B and Naruto Uzumaki, Onoki with Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi went to the location to find him.

When Akatsuchi, Onoki, and Kurotsuchi were near the location, they spotted Kabuto and Reincarnated Deidara and battled the two. Still, he escaped when they pushed back Kabuto and saw he was at a disadvantage.

During the Fourth Shinobi War, Akatsuchi stayed with Onoki but later, when Onoki joined the battle alongside Gaara in Fourth Division, Akatsuchi joined with his comrades. Later he was seen when the Five Kage entered the battlefield.

Akatsuchi in Boruto: The Next Generation

He attended the Five Kage summit with the Fourth Tsuchikage, Kurotsuchi, in Konohagakure. This meeting was about the greater threat than Kaguya Otsutsuki when Sasuke informed all the Kage about his discovery and his hunch.

Later, Akatsuchi and many Iwagakure villagers learned about the Akuta, which Onoki and his research team created for the village's good. Still, Kurotsuchi rejected the proposal because Akuta was not a stable creature and could be a danger to themselves.

When Onoki fell sick, Akatsuchi was assigned to take care of him. Still, after knowing all the secrets about Onoki's plan for Akuta and fighting against Ku, he helped Boruto and his team find Mitsuki. Together they were able to shut down the research center and were able to defeat Ku and his fellow members. Later he was seen crying when Onoki passed away and attended his funeral with other shinobis.

Akatsuchi in Naruto was more like child’s soul in an adult body as he is always potrayed cheerful and manages to stays happy. He used to tease Third Tsuchikage sometimes.

He is more of a soft heart who welcomes everyone with an open heart if they are an ally but also can get angry if someone disrespects his comrades. He was loyal to Third Tsuchikage and always tried to protect him.

Akatsuchi is tall and a big adult who wore an Iwagakure shinobi outfit and wears a red bandana on his head with an Iwagakure sign head protector over that. He is a fair-skinned man with chubby cheeks and a plump nose, wearing shinobi sandals and a brown jacket.

Akatsuchi also wears a yellow scarf in both Naurot and Boruto series, but in Boruto, he does not wear a bandana anymore. He also keeps his hair in a ponytail, and as his cheeks become less plump. He's dressed in a brown kimono and jeans.

Akatsuchi is well-skilled, strong Jonin who is physically very strong and also knows a lot of jutsus. He can use Earth Release: Golem Technique and despite his size is shown to be very quick on his feet, which can be seen multiple times over the course of the series.

Akatsuchi also uses Earth's release to form a rock shield that can protect him from fire with him capable of using most earth jutsus.
