Ruka in Naruto

Very little is known about Ruka as her past is still shrouded in mystery. In the series, Ruka was introduced as a Kirigakure medical ninja and a Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces member.

Ruka debuted in the anime in the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation Arc. During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Ruka was assigned to be a part of the Third Division of the Allied Shinobi War, led by Kakashi Hatake of Konohagakure. Most of the Third Division separated into small units when the reincarnated shinobi appeared on the battlefield. Ruka is a member of a team led by Monga. Ruka pledged to Monga that if something happened to him, she would likewise risk her life to save him. Soon after, Gari, a renowned Iwagakure shinobi and a former member of Iwagakure’s Explosion Corps, appears before the squad on the battlefield. Monga engaged Gari and, after a bit of struggle, managed to blow him into bits.

Monga then instructs Ruka and the others to seal Gari quickly. However, he is caught off guard, and Pakura, a Sunagakure (Hidden Sand Village) kunoichi, uses a sneak attack to mummify Monga. Ruka and the rest of the squad are engulfed in horror by this new development when Maki, a Sunagakure kunoichi, informs Ruka that she was once a student of Pakura. Pakura then proceeds to reveal how she died at the hands of Kirigakure to her former pupil, expressing her resentment towards the Bloody Mist Village. Ruka then tells Pakura that Kirigakure is not the murderous village that it used to be. Thanks to the hard work of the Fifth Mizukage, Mei Terumi, Kirigakure is no longer the Bloody Mist Village. However, this was not enough for Pakura, as she stated that this does not alter the past.

Pakura then attacks the squad and incinerates the area with her Scorch Release: Great Steaming Explosive Blast to locate the shinobi who were in hiding. The squad managed to survive the blast with the help of Ruka’s Water Release: Water Formation Wall and Maki’s Cloth Binding Technique. Pakura then locates the squad and prepares to annihilate them; however, she is interrupted by the arrival of Omoi and Zaji.

In the meantime, Gari is fully regenerated and joins the fight. However, Pakura has a change of heart and halts Gari’s movements to allow the shinobi squad to flee.

Ruka is a young woman and is quiet and reserved in nature. She is fiercely loyal to her village, Kirigakure, and her comrades. She believes in the Fifth Mizukage, Mei, and wholeheartedly believes that she will bring a new era of peace and prosperity to the Hidden Mist Village.

Ruka is a young woman with a fair skin tone, a petite physique, short brown hair reaching her shoulders, and black eyes. She is dressed in the attire of a Kirigakure shinobi, consisting of a dark shirt, a dark skirt, a purple flak jacket with shoulder pads, and sandals. She also wore the Allied Shinobi Force forehead protector strapped around her forehead.

Ruka is a medical ninja and has excellent chakra control, as well as basic knowledge of medical treatments and medical ninjutsu.
