Kurotsuchi in Naruto

When Kurotsuchi was a Genin, she saw Deidara in the Akatsuki dress escaping Iwagakure after its bombardment, which made her hate the Akatsuki group from a young age. Later, when she became Jonin, Kurotsuchi escorted the Third Tsuchikage (Onoki) with Akatsuchi to the Five Kage Summit in the Land of Iron. This was when Sasuke infiltrated the Five Kage summit to kill Danzo, who was attending the Five Kage Summit as the Hokage of Konohagakure.

Kurotsuchi asked the Third Tsuchikage to let her fight Sasuke because he defeated Deidara, whom she wanted to kill from a young age. The Tsuchikage agreed but warned her not to get in the way of the Raikage. She remained hidden while she saw Sasuke's fight, and when Sasuke brought the room down, she created a dome around herself to shield herself from the falling debris.

She also stopped Zetsu's Spore Technique and recommended that the Tsuchikage kill Killer B and Naruto who are Jinchurikies. This was before they left for the Land of Iron in order to stop Madara Uchiha's Eye of the Moon Plan and weaken Konohagakure and Kumogakure. She noted that he wasn't acting like the stubborn old man she knew when he disagreed. Onoki said that he is not selfish like he was before.

Kurotsuchi’s fight with Ganryu

Along with Chojuro, who was sent by the Fifth Mizukage on a mission to defeat Ganryu, Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi were sent by the Tsuchikage on a diplomatic mission to improve Kirigakure's relations with Iwagakure. After they arrived, Ganryu and a number of his allies attacked the two.

After Akatsuchi was hurt, Kurotsuchi battled Ganryu for revenge and eliminated all of the shadow clones Naruto had made to stop her. Despite Naruto's intervention, whose ship had stopped at the island to resupply, she treated him badly under the impression that he was just a messenger ninja.

She accepted Ganryu's apology after Naruto had managed to solve the issue calmly. She expressed anger after realizing Naruto had forgotten to introduce himself as she waved him to go after his ship had been restocked.

Fourth Shinobi World War

When Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi returned to their village, they found that the Earth Daimyo had given the Allied Shinobi Forces its approval. She and Akatsuchi then teamed up with Onoki to strengthen the military on Genbu before spotting and launching an attack on Kabuto Yakushi and Deidara.

In order to protect the turtle, Onoki dragged Deidara away. Then, she fought Kabuto and successfully trapped him so Aoba could question him.

Kabuto later managed to escape by changing back into his snake-like shape. However, he claimed that his knowledge of Kurotsuchi's tactics helped him do so. Knowing Kurotsuchi's skills also allowed him to capture Yamato by bringing everyone's defenses down. She followed Kabuto, but Kabuto could hide in Manda II's nostril and summon a large snake, which disappeared when the Summoning Technique was released.

Kurotsuchi joins the Second Division

She is assigned to the Second Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces after bringing Genbu back to Kumogakure, where she is not happy that her father is the division commander. Later, she and her father used Earth Release: Opening Earth Rising Excavation to expose the White Zetsu Army and began fighting them. After a long battle with the Zetsu Army, she retreated with her division and members of the Fifth Division to assist Darui's division.

Kurotsuchi then went to the Fifth Division to talk to Deidara, with Okisuke leading her to where he was. Deidara was surprised to learn that Sasuke Uchiha, a member of the Akatsuki, was still alive while she questioned him about Kabuto Yakushi's whereabouts.

This was because Deidara had thought he had killed Sasuke Uchiha and his lack of cooperation irritates Kurotsuchi. She then requests that the White Zetsu Army clone who was posing as a Samurai to open Kuroari so she can speak to him. After knowing about the imposters in the division, Okisuke questioned some Samurai. In reply, they gave the wrong answers, which made Okisuke kill them but somehow, Deidara could escape from the place.

Later, while chasing Deidara, Kurotsuchi becomes trapped in Chukichi's use of the Hiding in Frost Technique, but Kabuto quickly summons him out of it. Deidara was quickly caught by Kurotsuchi, Kankuro, and the Fifth Division, who realized that he had buried land mines. They used the Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to prevent the landmines from detonating once they touched the ground but Deidara exploded all of them and escaped again.

After changing into Sasuke Uchiha, Kurotsuchi locates Deidara, lures him into a trap, and then seals Deidara back inside Kuroari before departing. Kurotsuchi and the others defeated the Akatsuki forces that stood in their way during the following day's combat, and she then proceeded to the location of the jinchriki along with the rest of her division.

Later, as the Allied Shinobi Forces faced Madara, Obito, and Ten Tailed Beast, Kurotsuchi stood next to the other group members. In order to carry out Shikaku's plan, the beast is covered in quicklime by Kurotsuchi and a number of other Lava Release carriers after being sunk into a hold by her father and his team.

The quicklime is then mixed with water and super-dried by clan members from the Sarutobi family. Later, she accompanied her grandfather as he re-entered the fight and unleashed a violent war shout in response to his powerful speech. In the end, Naruto and Sasuke won the war and released Kurotsuchi and the rest of the world from the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Kurotsuchi as Fourth Tsuchikage

Kurotsuchi succeeded her grandpa and inherited the title of Tsuchikage ten years after the Fourth Shinobi World War ended. She and Akatsuchi eventually go to a Kage Summit in Konohagakure, where Sasuke talks about the beginnings of the White Zetsu Army and his belief that there might be a bigger threat than Kaguya Otsutsuki.

The Kage accepts Sasuke's request to continue his investigation and look into his sources while keeping the information private from the general public.

At some point, she travels to Konoha for another meeting. Iwagakure was attacked by a group of missing-nin five years before the Otsutsuki attack, which caused them many deaths, including Kozuchi, Kurotsuchi's cousin. To safeguard his people, Onoki became desperate and started learning about the Akuta.

However, Kurotsuchi rejected the research-based approach because it was unstable and may lead to a change in power that upset the Five Great Nations' unity. In the third round of the Konoha Chunin Exams, she sits alongside Naruto and the other Kage. Kurotsuchi and the other Kage agree to team up with Sasuke and later with Boruto to rescue Naruto after Momoshiki and Kinshiki kidnap him to remove Kurama from inside him.

When they reach the other dimension, they start fighting the enemies. While Naruto and Sasuke battle Momoshiki, Kurotsuchi, and the other Kage face off against Kinshiki. She manages to punch Kinshiki during the fight with Chojuro's assistance, but he later escapes and is consumed by Momoshiki.

The Kage are then captured by Momoshiki using Shikamaru's jutsu until Boruto uses a Vanishing Rasengan to set them free, and a Parent and Child Rasengan finally defeats Momoshiki. Kurotsuchi, the other Kage, Sasuke, and Boruto pose for a picture following the defeat of Momoshiki.

A Kage Summit was held following Konohagakure's restoration from the Momoshiki attack. To talk about Otsutsuki's ongoing threat, Kurotsuchi and the other retired Kage were present in the meeting. Later, after two Konohagakure gatekeepers had been attacked, Naruto contacted Kurotsuchi.

She was greatly worried when she discovered that the invaders were from Iwagakure and were traveling to the Land of Earth. Kurotsuchi turned down Naruto's request to allow the Konoha pursuit team access to the Land of Earth. But she promised to look into the problem and get back to him. She also promised to safely capture and bring the Konoha genin who were unofficially chasing the criminals to rescue Mitsuki.

Kurotsuki met Shikadai

After ensuring her old grandfather was okay, Kurotsuchi talked with her advisors about the best course of action for dealing with the new enemy scenario without drawing extra attention to the town. Ku and his artificial human warriors attacked the Tsuchikage before making a decision. When Kurotsuchi realized who she was dealing with, he could knock her unconscious and take her prisoner.

Later, Shikadai Nara was imprisoned with Kurotsuchi and she recognized him as Shikamaru's son. She discussed her grandfather's intentions with Shikadai when he disclosed that Onoki was behind the conspiracy. Shikadai then firmly agreed when she requested his assistance to stop the madness.

Later, Konohamaru Sarutobi released Kurotsuchi and set the imprisoned shinobi and villagers free. She then started battling the Akuta alongside the other shinobi. Onoki was found by Kurotsuchi and Naruto, who sobbed over his sacrifice for putting an end to the Fabrications.

Onoki’s Funeral

At Onoki's funeral, Iwagakure and the Five Kage all expressed their sorrow. Later, after unwillingly being forced to deny the Team 7 genin of their shinobi rank as retribution for leaving the village, Naruto was convinced to restore them after hearing Kurotsuchi's thanks and recommendation.

In a conference with the other Kage following the Otsutsuki invasion, Kurotsuchi expresses her thoughts of Naruto working on weapons in secret, despite the Hokage's assurance that such a project was never approved. As a result, Kurotsuchi demands that Konoha reveal all of its secrets as evidence of its dedication to peace.

However, Shikamaru presumes that Kurotsuchi is fully aware that these criteria won't be reached and that her true objective is to dissolve the Shinobi Union so that Iwa and Kiri can attack the Land of Flowers, which is guarded by Kumo, in search of their agricultural products.

During the conference with the other Kage, Kurotsuchi is questioned and confesses to her plan, which angers Darui. Shikamaru restrains the Kage over Naruto's objections because he has no other choice: he wants to break the Tsuchikage's neck.

Kurotsuchi asserts that Konoha poses a significant military danger and that Naruto's assurances of peace are only temporary because the Hokage position will eventually be handed to a successor who might not share Naruto's ideas. She then storms out of the office while being followed by Chojuro.

When Team 7 eventually found Kawaki and brought him to Konoha, Naruto called a conference to talk about Kara and Kawaki. As Naruto wanted to look after Kawaki because he knew the feeling of being used as a weapon, other kages agreed with that part. Kurotsuchi was impressed by Naruto's multitasking. Later, when Isshiki defeated Kurotsuchi showed concern over the conference call about Code, who was one of the last members of Kara.

Kurotsuchi has been one of the strong will Kunoichi from a young age from the time she was a Genin. She always keeps his village's safety at the top of her concern. That is why she suggested killing Nine-Tailed and Eight-Tailed Jinchuriki before the Shinobi war started so that Iwagakure would have the upper hand as a great nation. She is also caring and kind to his comrades or teammates; if the person is not, she can kill that person with a cold heart.

Kurotsuchi may also have an attitude to showcase herself as more powerful and does not respect Shinobi with low ranks than her. She is always ready to fight and excited to battle with stronger opponents to show her power to others.

When she became the Fourth Tsuchikage of Iwagakure, she became a lot more serious and someone who followed the rule of the village. However, even after fighting alongside other nations in the Fourth Shinobi War, she still wants her village to be the strongest and that’s why she asks Naruto to show his village all its weapons.

She is dressed in the traditional outfit of the Iwa-nin, which includes a red uniform with a lapel covering her right leg and a missing sleeve, a brown Iwagakure flak jacket, fishnet tights, and a skirt over them. She additionally wears a pair of black gloves and standard shinobi footwear and has short black hair.

Kurotsuchi in Boruto

Later, she takes off her forehead guard and changes into a red dress with a front-right side that is open from the waist down, exposing her right leg. Only the left side of it has sleeves. She also started wearing red nail polish and cut her hair shorter on the sides.

Kurotsuchi has always been one of the most skilled shinobi of Iwagakure and took part in important missions of Iwagakure. She was chosen as a backup for the Genbu (Turtle island) mission, where she fought reincarnated Deidara and Kabuto.

Kurotsuchi, in the Fourth Shinobi War, never took a step back when it came to fighting against any opponent. She confidently faced more than thousands of White Zetsu. She can use lava style, water style, earth style, and fire style. She is also skilled with Kenjutsu and Taijutsu, making her one of the rarest characters to know most of all types of fight forms.
