Kurama and the other tailed beasts came into existence because of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, who divided the ten-tails chakra into nine different bodies and gave them names. After this, he told the tailed beasts that even though they'll be separated they'll always have a link with each other. He also mentioned that one day they'll all be brought together and someone will show them their true power. Before dying, Hagoromo placed Kurama in a temple surrounded by forests and mountains

Over the years Kurama was known as the creature who would create havoc and could destroy humanity. During this time two shinobi from Kumogakure, the Gold and Silver brothers were sent to fight with Kurama but were eaten by the fox. Luckily the brothers survived by eating Kurama's stomach flesh for almost two weeks after which the Nine-Tail fox vomited them out.

After Madara left Konoha, he found Kurama and with the help of his Sharingan controlled him. He used him in his battle against Hashirama. After Hashirama's victory, his wife Mito Uzumaki sealed Kurama inside her, becoming the first jinchuriki.

Mito could always keep Kurama at bay and only once, while giving birth, her seal almost broke. In her final moments of life, she passed Kurama onto Kushina Uzumaki. Kushina was quite scared about the responsibility that she had been given to her but Mito assured her that her love would overcome Kurama's hatred.

Kushina, later on, married Minato and she became pregnant. Minato made arrangements so that Kurama would stay sealed inside her while she gave birth. On the night of the birth ie 10th October, despite the child’s birth being a secret, Tobi managed to reach them by killing the escorts and taking Naruto away, which forced Minato to save his son. In the meanwhile, Tobi captured Kushina and extracted Kurama from her.

Before Kurama could kill Kushina, Minato saved her and teleported her to a safe place where he had kept Naruto. While this happened Tobi left Kurama free, who started rampaging in the village. Minato fought with Tobi and managed to put a seal onto him, which freed Kurama from his control.

Despite being free, Kurama's built-up resentment for Konoha made him continue to wreak havoc in the village. Kushina was almost dying due to the extraction that had taken place, she planned to seal Kurama back into her so that it dies but she knew that host dies Kurama would become a bigger threat.

Minato came up with a plan in which he would seal Kurama into his son. Kurama's chakra was too much for an infant, so Minato used the Dead demon consuming seal to separate and seal one half of the chakra in himself and the other half in his son, Naruto.

When Kurama realized what is happening he attempted to kill Naruto. Just as he was about to attack Naruto, both Minato and Kushina used themselves to shield their child and got impaled in the process.

It means that Kurama was successfully sealed in Naruto. Over the years he tried to take control over Naruto by leaking little amounts of chakra which had positive side effects on Naruto like giving him even larger chakra reserves, improved healing abilities, and so on.

Being a tailed beast, Kurama possesses immense amounts of chakra. Due to his compatibility with Naruto's chakra, together the duo gave the entire shinobi army chakra cloaks during the Fourth Great Shinobi War.

Kurama can enter the Nine tails chakra to increase its power. This causes his reflexes, raw strength and chakra to skyrocket when the raw materials combine with his chakra to produce a new type of energy. Due to having extreme amounts of energy, Kurama should be focused and not waste energy.

He also possesses an immense amount of brute strength to give a rise to even tsunamis, flatten the mountains, etc. He is quite fast and can withstand several severe attacks too!

Tailed beast ball: It is an ultimate tailed beast technique. It causes severe damage to the surroundings and Kurama can create multiple of them and can supercharge them easily.

Destructive shockwaves: In this the tailed beast uses its chakra to turn a roar into a powerful force of pressure and destruction.

Sensory skills: He has exceptional sensory skills. He’s able to detect chakra from great distances as natural energy, which he then transfers to Naruto to use during Sage mode.

A. At first, Kurama was evil as he was filled with resentment for Konoha. Over time because he was sealed inside Naruto, his positivity would have rubbed off on Kurama for him to turn a new leaf and help others.

A. Yes. Kurama is scared of Himawari (Naruto’s daughter) as she can get terrifying at times. Even though she can’t remember anything after this outburst but the people around her do, which scares them.
